Our History

Pan American was founded in 1992 to provide mental health support to the Hispanic community, addressing the health needs of North Central Philadelphia. Since then, we’ve grown and now operate 5 clinics across Pennsylvania.

We believe everyone deserves access to compassionate, high-quality mental health care. Our experienced team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists works collaboratively to provide comprehensive, personalized support while fostering a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for every patient.

Our Achievements:

  • We are a CARF accredited agency demonstrating the highest standards in our clinical practice and administration.

  • Winner of the Metro Philly’s Best competition in the 2024 Psychotherapy category.

Our Commitment to Excellence: CARF Accreditation

  • At Pan American Mental Health Services, we are proud to have earned accreditation from CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) —a highly recognized organization that sets rigorous standards for health and human services.

  • Achieving CARF accreditation is a significant accomplishment that reflects a provider’s dedication to quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. The process involves an in-depth review of our programs, services, and organizational practices to ensure they meet recognized standards of care. This includes evaluating everything from clinical practices and staff qualifications to safety protocols and client-centered approaches.

  • Earning this accreditation means our organization is committed to delivering the highest level of safe, effective services, ongoing performance improvement, and the satisfaction of the individuals and families we serve. It demonstrates that we not only meet industry standards—but consistently strive to exceed them.

  • For our community, this recognition provides confidence that they are receiving care from a trusted provider that prioritizes excellence, compassion, and measurable outcomes.
